This page lists all short term issues and a long term problems with the site that we know about and that we need to fix eventually. If you notice something is missing in this list please let us know via our Help Forum.
Panorama publishing: - Black&White panoramas: Due to a bug in the converter that we are trying to solve we are currently not able to process pure B&W panoramas. A workaround that works: Try to saturate the image just a tiny bit, so that for example gray color is not gray, but e.g. red-ish, or blue-ish. It doesn't need to be visible, if you make 127,127,128 instead of 127,127,127, nobody will notice.
- When the location of a panorama is fixed the old one sometimes remains to be displayed on the site (#1123)
(the same for heading and initial view) - When you use the " (double quote) or ' (single quote) symbol in the title of a panorama it shows as "null" in the thumbnails on the panorama page (#1275)
- A panorama selected for Editors' Picks sometimes appears twice in user's profile page (#1324)
Google Earth related: - Mac OS: When you open a panorama page on 360Cities from within Google Earth (using GE's internal browser), the panorama cannot be rotated. A temporary workaround is to click on the FULLSCREEN button which unfreezes the panorama.
- Red markers in the photo layer (the one with small red squares) are shown only when you zoom all the way in. This problem doesn't happen in the gallery layer with the bigger red circles. You can turn on the gallery layer in the gallery section of Google Earth layers.
Update December 2011: We are still discussing with the Google Earth team how fix the photo layer.
iPad related: - The search box on the 360cities.net homepage on the ipad is not working (#1274)
- The number of views of a panorama is not increased when you view it on the iPad (#1270)
360Cities.net viewing experience: - The back button is broken in some browsers on image pages 360cities.net/image/* (#547)
Recently fixed bugs:
New in March 2012: We are having temporary problems with the uploads. About 5% of the uploads don't get processed properly. We are intensively working on fixing the issue and are deeply sorry for all problems caused. We usually fix all failed uploads within hours so you can either try uploading your panoramas again and it will most likely work or simply wait and we'll reprocess your failed uploads manually.
